LASERPLAST

REJUVENATION OF THE DÉCOLLETAGE

True beauty lies in the beholder’s eyes

Aging of the décolletage, like other areas that are exposed to the sun, is characterised by the progressive development of small brown blemishes (sun spots), fine capillaries and wrinkles. As time passes, these wrinkles increase in number and in depth and, in more severe forms of aging, actinic keratosis (precancerous lesion) also appears. Rejuvenation of this anatomical area can be obtained through treatment with pulsed light, Q-switched laser, biorevitalization, injection of plasma rich in growth factors or photodynamic therapy. The choice of one or more of these different types of treatment is made according to the main defect to be corrected. Injection of hyaluronic acid, amino acids and vitamins or injection of platelet-derived growth factor is most indicated when the main problem is wrinkles. Photodynamic Therapy is the therapy of choice when actinic keratosis is present, while the use of pulsed light or Q-switched laser is preferable when fine capillaries and blemishes are predominant. Sun spots are eliminated with Q-switched laser treatment, while the use of pulsed light, due to the liberation of heat, will also cause the synthesis of new collagen.
