TELEANGIECTASIE (CAPILLARIES) ON THE FACE

True beauty lies in the beholder’s eyes

The presence of visible capillaries on the face and the alar segments of the nose is a very common problem. These imperfections may be associated with acne rosacea but, sometimes, the problem is sporadic, isolated, and cannot be associated with other symptoms of this condition. Laser technology is the only one recognised today as being able to resolve this problem. The energy emitted impacts the blood circulating in these tiny blood vessels and causes it to coagulate. The diameter of the dilated vessels and their depth in the skin can be very variable, and so the wavelengths used can also vary. IPL technology can be used or, in cases of larger diameter vessels, an Nd:YAG long pulse laser.
