The laser VBeam Platinum is a dye laser of 595 nm. It is considered to be the Golden standard for the treatment of vascular lesions. This laser emits energy that can coagulate blood vessels of different diameter. The wavelength of 595 nm and the possibility of using a long time of the emission have made it possible to perform treatments without ecchymoses (bruises). In order to make the treatment safer and more comfortable on the patient’s skin is sprayed off (in automatic mode) a cryogen before, during and after the emission of the laser impulse. In such a way the skin surface layers are protected and the painful sensations are reduced. Spots of different diameter, energy variety, and different time of emissions permit calibration of the treatment in function of each specific need/lesion. Usually, this type of laser is indicated for the treatment of angiomas, port-wine stains, facial spider veins (capillaries), rosacea, but it is often used with great success in the treatment of scars and warts.
